JQuery - "fadeIn is not a function"

Running into a very strange problem. Trying to run fadeIn() , but I get the error ".fadeIn is not a function".

My code is:

Error message:

 "TypeError: $('body').fadeIn is not a function. (In '$('body').fadeIn()', '$('body').fadeIn' is undefined)"

Using Bootstrap v4 beta, tested locally in Chrome and Safari.

The default template for Bootstrap 4 uses a thin version of jQuery, which does not include many features. You need to revert to using a more affordable version. For instance:

use $('body').show(); and $('body').hide(); instead
