How to fix Failed to load the platform cordova-ios@ ~ 4.4.0

When I use the "cordova platform add ios" command for the latest version of Cordoba, which is 7.0.1, I get an error message.

I am trying to upgrade an existing project to iOS version 4.4.0, but for my peace of mind I tried to create a new project that also had the same error.

Here is my output below, showing the errors I am getting, can anyone recommend a solution to solve this problem?

I solved it, this is an NPM problem, not Cordoba. I just updated NPM in Terminal, and after updating the "add ios cordova platform" worked fine. Happy days - 1!

 npm update -g

  • Delete the cordova-ios folder located in: node_modules / cordova-ios

  • Enter this command

     ionic cordova build ios

Sometimes a previously added platform is not removed properly, so this type of problem occurs. Remove the platform by command and add it again .. Follow the steps -

 1- run command ionic cordova platform remove ios 2- run command ionic cordova platform add ios --save

If Still a problem . Run again. Command

ionic cordon platform remove ios --save

NOTE:. By running the command. Again, the ionic cord platform removes ios --save retrieves the new version of the ios platform. Example- first-cordova-fetch for cordova-ios@ ~ 4.5.1 second-time-cordova-fetch for cordova-ios@ ~ 4.5.4
