How to send an assembly to an already provided remote person iPhone

We have 3 devices to develop iPhone. 2 developers and one phone manager.

When the manager used to be here, we used to connect our phone to our mac and shared the assembly with it. Now it works remotely. How can I send him the assembly now. His device has already been prepared, and now he launches the old version of our application (in development). We need to update his phone with a new build.

We use Xcode4.2 and Lion. Please, help.

You can create your own OTA setup:

  • Set up a simple web page with a link to the plist that you will create in step 3
  • build adhoc, then from the Organiser - Archive - Share check the box "Save for distribution company"
  • enter the url of your simple webpage from the first step and the title, save it
  • upload ipa and plist file to a simple web page
  • email URL of a simple web page manager and ask manager click a link on a simple web page.

Must work with iOS 4 onwards. Remember to run the package version every time you create a new assembly for manager . I overwrote one adhoc construct on the device using the new build, but the official word in the docs is that the version should increase between installations.

Alternatively, you can send an ipa ipa message and ask the manager drag and drop to iTunes, but this method requires a computer with iTunes. The first method will work with the device itself

EDIT: Sorry to write plist, not ipa. An anchor in a simple web page will plist:

<a href="itms-services://?action=download-manifest&url=http://<server>/<directory>/<name-of-plist-from-step3>

Application URL entered in the organizer window will be ipa: http://<server>/<directory>/<name-of-ipa-from-step3>
