ClangFormat extension not installed correctly on Visual Sudio 2015

We wanted to install the Visual Studio extension for LLVM / clang-format in Visual Studio 2015. Installation works on my computer. The extension is displayed in the tools / options of the / LLVM / Clang dialog box.

On the computers of my colleagues, this does not work at all. We tried to install the extension from the Marketplace, as well as the latest version from http://llvm.org/builds/ .

Does anyone have the same problem? Is this solution known?

Update: A problem occurs in Windows 10 and Visual Studio 2015 Professional

A repair installation seems to help. So the approach:

  • Install extension from Market Place
  • Restore "Microsoft Visual Studio installation with the installer.

Then it works.
