How to run the application on a real iOS device using Expo?

I am using Expo to run my application. I can see two options in Expo XDE:

• open on iOS simulator
• open on android

I want to run my application by connecting directly to my device. Is this possible with Expo?

Yes, it is possible, and quite easy to get it to work.

Step 1: Open Expo XDE and press the gray selector to change the host mode on the local network. Make sure you enable development mode. You will see the URL right in front of you. Wait for the packer to start working.

Step 2: Open the Expo application on your mobile device and click on the second “ Explore ” tab and enter the URL starting with exp://192.168... This is a local connection to your computer. You will see that your application works in a minute.

Make sure your phone and computer are on the same WiFi!
