Add audio to Github readme.md

Is there a way to add a soundbar to Github readme.md? I want to be able to play a specific mp3 file directly through readme.md, and not be directed to some soundcloud or youtube link. Thanks in advance.

No, as I documented before , the <audio> element (or video) is not supported in GitHub Markdown.

For a video, the workaround is to use an animated GIF, but for sound, having a substitute linking with the actual sound seems to be the only way.
