Solution for smb protocol vulnerability

The problem is not programming. I am using an old machine, and Microsoft has stopped patching for these machines. Does anyone have a solution for the vulnerability of the SMB protocol using port 445, which is known to cybercriminals? Any tough decision? In other words, I want to use SMB, and I cannot change cars because it is too expensive.

Get a third-party SMB stack. MoSMB has one of these, and there are others to choose from. Some support Windows, some only for Linux.

In general, I would review what you are doing: no patches, EOSL, etc. - A big red flag for something in production. If not necessary, of course.

Then you should check if you are vulnerable to this tool from ESET: https://help.eset.com/eset_tools/ESETEternalBlueChecker.exe

Microsoft has stopped patches for software, not for your machine ;-) If you use Xp (I think your OS), you look at the network for security fixes "KB4012598"!

You can use NQE Server for Windows
