Intellij IDEA: Compare Files: How to Change Sides?

I use Intellij IDEA to compare two files in a side view.

How can I change the sides so that the file visible on the left side appears on the right side and vice versa?

One way to solve the problem is to choose which file starts from which side when starting the comparison.

  • Open the right file in the editor window.
  • Select the left file from the list (for example, in the "Project Files" section).
  • Right-click on the left file and select Compare File With Editor.
