How to remove object classes panel from Android Studio

I recently upgraded to Android Studio 2.3, and now there is a panel between the editor window and the tab bar that displays the objects in the file, but in most cases it's just empty space .

There is no context menu when I right-click on a new panel and I cannot find mention of this in the Android Studio manual. There doesn't even seem to be any confirmation of this in their own screenshot .

This pen is called Breadcrumbs and was introduced in IntelliJ IDEA 2016.2

Breadcrumbs . Until now, crackers were only available in HTML and XML. Now, breadcrumbs also work in Java, where instead of tags, they let you navigate through classes, lambda expressions, and methods.

This is a pretty useful pen, but if you don’t like it, you can turn it off by going to Settings / Editor / General / Appearance / Show breadcrumbs. enter image description here
