View Preview View, the video has sound that is not two-channel

When I send my preview to iTunes Connect, it says: “This video has sound that is not two-channel stereo without sound. Please refer to the Apple documentation for the appropriate formats.”

Ok, this is a trick, when I created my preview in iMovie, I deleted the soundtrack!

After a break, I returned and tried again, after which I received an error message: "File could not be downloaded."

Every time I go to view, my view of applications disappears.

Any ideas on how I can successfully get my preview in the app?

Unfortunately, “no audio channel” is not an official document.

I will follow Apple's official guide here and add some “background music”:

Create soundtrack

  • Choose File> Import Media, then select the sound file in the window that appears.
  • Drag music to the Background Music area at the bottom of the timeline.
  • Drag and drop sound effects directly below any clip in the timeline.

Apple is pretty picky when it comes to the allowed file formats and configurations, but once you fix it, it should work!

For most applications that do not have the primary purpose of audio processing, I find background music or sound voice to get distracted by previewing the application. If you want to add silence for preview, you can easily do this with ffmpeg :

ffmpeg -f lavfi -i anullsrc=channel_layout=stereo:sample_rate=44100 -i preview.mp4 -shortest -c:v copy -c:a aac previewWithSilence.mp4

If you are using iMovie:

  • Drag any sound clip. It doesn't matter what it is.
  • Cut the length to less than the total length of your project.
  • Set the sound level to 0% by dragging the horizontal bar above the clip.
  • Share as viewing apps.
