How to fix LogLogic file too big error?

Question

I am running MarkLogic version 8.0-6.1.

Host OS is the release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server version 6.8 (Santiago).

Data is stored on a local disk with 90% free space.

The server works quite well, but it periodically generates the following error:

SVC-FILWRT: File write error: write '/var/opt/MarkLogic/Forests/clickstream-1/0000008a/ListData': File too large 

Any thoughts on the root cause and possible correction?
