MeshLab 2016 Win 64 not starting and not opening

Question

After downloading and installing the version of MeshLab 2016 Win 64 in the folder C: \ Program Files \ VCG \ MeshLab, by default everything seems to be installed until I try to open the program from the shortcut or from the "Start" menu. Two dialogs open and close again before I can read them.

I can not say if this is an error message or not. When I open a command prompt, the only command I know is the “launch”, which seems to open a new command prompt window. Anyone have a solution to this problem? It will be much appreciated!

At first I had the same problem with the W10.

Running the program "right-click / Run with GPU / Nvidia" instead of "Intel (default)" the problem disappeared.

Do you have an integrated Intel graphics card? The problem seems to be related to devices like the one mentioned in issue # 29 .

After months of unsuccessful attempts, I finally found a solution that launched MeshLab 2016! On my HP Pavilion dv6-6130eo, the problem was solved by setting the switchable graphics in the BIOS to "fixed mode", as described here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02948560?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001 Good luck !
