Jupyter: magic% qtconsole not working

Question

I am trying to use the magic of %qtconsole from a jupyter laptop. I am working on my local connection to a remote server.

When you enter %qtconsole and change the input in a laptop cell, nothing happens. There is no error message, but not qt console.

Is it connected to a remote server? Anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

You don't talk much about your environment, but if you may need to install qtconsole. If you are in a conda environment, try ...

 conda install qtconsole 

... or even...

 pip install qtconsole
