Coming from the background of Visual Studio ...

How to tell Eclipse that it should automatically save when I ever create, and not ask every time.

VS.NET has it in the Options section, but I cannot find it in Eclipse.

I am using a Mac.

Switch to

Window β†’ Settings β†’ General β†’ Workspace

and there you can check:

Try first

Window β†’ Settings β†’ General β†’ Workspace. There you can check "Save automatically before assembly" and "Create automatically."

If that doesn't work,

Save automatically before assembly

Settings > Settings > General > Workspace > check "Save automatically before assembly" > OK

Window preferencesGeneral workspace

Save dirty editors before running

Window > Settings > Run / Debug > Run > check "Always" for "Save the necessary dirty editors before starting"

Launching

Save resources before launch

This is actually an alternative to "Save Required Dirty Editors Before Launching"

Change something in the current file> Run > check "Always save resources before starting" > OK

This has changed in the Eclipse Luna (or maybe just because I'm on a Mac and the responders are on a PC).

Eclipse -> Preferences -> General -> Workspace

From there, you will check the box "Save automatically before assembly" + "Create automatically." On a Mac, the settings are not under the Window menu, so I confused me a bit.
