Is there a way to make the iPad simulator bigger?

It annoys me like a small iPad simulator ... Some of the applications that I have in mind have difficulty testing because of the small size of the iPad simulator. Is there a way to make it bigger than it is now?

You can always zoom in on the screen. Usually something like a scroll control, but check your mouse or trackpad settings. command-option-backslash toggles anti-aliasing if you need to see enlarged pixels when zoomed.

To add to this, you can create a keyboard shortcut to simplify it:

  • System Settings → Keyboard → Hot Keys
  • Click the small "+" at the bottom of the list.
  • drop-down list of applications and scroll down, select "Other"
  • go to /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/Applications (at least on my machine).
  • select iOS Simulator
  • for the menu title, enter "100%" without quotes
  • for a keyboard shortcut, press a key combination, for example. Cmd-F ("F'ull" screen)
  • Click "Add" and you are done.
  • close and restart the simulator and press Cmd-F
