This is not obvious to me, just by looking at the Google Load Balancer documentation, if there is an easy way to set up the "Site is under maintenance" or "site down" page.
Some cloud load balancers allow you to load a simple html page, and then offer a โcheckboxโ to serve this page until you clear it.
Or they let you load a custom error page, and when HTTP health checks are not performed, they automatically serve that error page.
Or both.
Is it easy to do with the Google Cloud cloud infrastructure?
I know that we can edit our nginx configuration to serve such a page, but I'm looking for something even more idiotypical proof, and something that even works when nginx doesn't work either.
(Not that we ever wanted to go so much, but sometimes it happens, and it would be nice if you could post the intentional "yes, we know that we are baffled," we will be back soon. ")
