The communication branch does not open the installed application by clicking on the link common to Skype

I shared a branch link to Skype. But when I click on the link, it redirects to the App Store, and does not open my installed application. I have a link to email, twitter, etc.

Alex from Branch.io here: Unfortunately, this is the expected behavior .

Skype is one of the applications using SafariViewController , so this is Apple’s iOS limitation. Skype links cannot open other applications through Universal Links directly from the chat channel, and this is not a Branch issue.

However, Branch has a workaround: our deepviews feature sends users to the destination web page with an in-app opening. ' This really works and is currently the best option until Apple updates the Universal Links implementation to work properly with the SafariViewController .
