Ajax phpmyadmin alternative?

I have to say I'm bored with phpmyadmin. We are in 2009, and I have to work with this useful tool and wait for each page to reload after each action. Are there any alternatives? Maybe phpmyadmin itself will be ajaxized?

This is not necessarily AJAX, but I thought I listed them, as they might be useful to other people:

Adminer (formerly known as phpMinAdmin) is a great solution. I use only Adminer for many of my projects. On the main page you can see a list of functions and a few screenshots. Here you can see a detailed admin comparison with phpmyadmin

  • It supports multiple database engines (currently MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MS SQL, Oracle)
  • Translation support (Currently 20 available 23 languages)
  • Ability to use skins using CSS
  • Plugin support
  • Wordpress Plugin , Joomla Extension, Drupal Module, TYPO3 Extension
  • PHP 4.3.3+ and PHP 5
  • Free even for commercial use
  • Online Admin Demo

They also have a specialized DB editing interface called Adminer Editor .

Try Dblite . This is a powerful AJAX alternative for phpmyadmin and in some ways is even better than desktop clients such as SQLYog or Navicat. It has a demo site, demo.dblite.com , as well as a fully functional online cloud version of user.dblite.com .

Try SQLyog . It offers much more than PhpMyAdmin, but it is not a web-based interface and looks more like SQL Server Management Studio.

I added MyWebSQL as an answer to this question, and the stackoverflow community deleted my answer. May I humbly ask that this answer was made incorrectly? What is stackoverflow? biased scams and ratings?

Here was the previous recommendation of MyWebSQL (I don't know where the message was). It is very light and fast, found it very convenient.

I would recommend RazorSQL . Manage multiple servers, support databases other than MySQL, such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, SQLite, Oracle, etc., And has a PHP modem if your MySQL instance does not allow remote access.

phpMyAdmin uses AJAX in current versions. (yes, I understand that the question is 2 year old - but still worth mentioning IMO)

I found this, although I have not tried it yet: SQL Buddy .

PhpMyAdmin is working on a version of AJAXified , although the process seems slow. Edit: they gave up on this, apparently. (at least wiki page deleted)

If you only care about providing yourself an admin tool without having web access and are not averse to spending some money, I would recommend Navicat for MySQL ( http://navicat.com/en/products/navicat_mysql/mysql_overview. html ). I like to have one program for managing MySQL on multiple servers.

Big improvements in phpMyAdmin 3.4.0

Now supports AJAX (partially) and edits inline data and requests !: D

I have been using chive over time and am very happy with it.

Powered by Yii Framework, it has all the phpMyAdmin features.

SQL Buddy may look pretty, be fast, and better than Phpmyadmin, but it has its limitations. It does not allow you to convert data to an insert, I mean, you want to enter data directly into the database as a user, and the password field contains the SHA1 hash of the password, Phpmyadmin allows you to convert your data to SHA1, MD5 and more, SQL Buddy It doesn’t. A little oversight, but this is what I find useful in SQL Web Client.

Do I need to be a website? If you really need the responsiveness of the client application, you can use something like Sequel Pro (Mac).

Another good alternative: http://www.webdbadmin.com

This is at a fairly early stage, but looks very promising.
