Building a new TensorFlow Op, is there a build system?

After looking at this question, I decided to write a new option for TensorFlow.

Since the requirements of C ++, Python, and most likely the * nix system are not my main tools, I would like to avoid having to step back and make changes to the system / tool just because I did not ask.

Is there a standard or preferred system or tools used by those who work or TensorFlow?

I know that recommendations are not allowed here; I do not ask for a personal recommendation, I ask to use the standard used or that the TensorFlow group finds what works.

In fact, everything where you can run Bazel and the necessary libraries. But since you are starting from scratch: Ubuntu is a very safe bet and (I didn’t rate this, but it is a reliable estimate) probably gets the most tests and developments by the tf team. But there are many options that all work - you can evolve inside virtualenv in many environments. Things like GPU support are becoming a little more platform specific, and that is where Ubuntu will be the easiest choice unless you have other restrictions.

The basic requirements are described in a Tensorflow installation from sources .
