The only information we have so far is Matt Masson (Senior Program Manager at Microsoft), whom he shared with Ignite earlier this year. β€œThese features will be available for the first time as downloaded for download in SSDT-BI for Visual Studio 2013 and will later be released for SSIS 2016 (SSDT-BI for Visual Studio 2015)” so this happens, but there is no information about when.

From its BRK2578 session at Ignite 2015.

SSIS support is now in preview as part of a single SSDT installer (database + BI). See This Blog Post for full details: Updating SQL Server Data Tool Reports for August 2015 . The following information from this post may be relevant to you:

The SQL Server tool database is always installed, as it is part of the core Visual Studio experience. SSIS tools are currently the only additional option available with SSAS and SSRS.

SQL Server Tools Support

Database tools will continue to support SQL Server 2005 through SQL Server 2016, including Azure SQL DB. Business intelligence projects still have a different support matrix. Please note that during the preview period, support for versions of SQL Server earlier than SQL Server 2016 may be limited. In RTM for SQL Server 2016, timeline support for earlier versions of SQL Server will be improved.

Disclosure: I work in the SSDT (database) team.

You can find it on SSDT July 2015 RTM for Visual Studio 2015

SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) is a modern tool for developing SQL Server databases and Azure SQL databases. As a database developer, you can create, develop, create, test, and publish a database with the same ease as when developing an application in Visual Studio
