Ignore touching the object with an absolute position to allow scrolling of the main ScrollView

I have a view that is absolutely above the ScrollView:

I want to be able to scroll, even if I start my touch in the upper view. I tried setting onStartShouldSetResponder and onMoveShouldSetResponder in the false view, but it still does not allow me to scroll through the underlying ScrollView. Any help is appreciated :)

If anyone has this problem, now you can add pointerEvents="none" to the View that you don't want to respond to. See the documentation here .
