Territory restricted iPhone app

I currently have an iPhone app. I need to convert it to a paid one with restrictions on the territory. This means that I need to make my application pay for some territories and free for the rest.

  • Does this apple allow?
  • Can I download 2 separate applications with the same features, one is free and the other is paid, but they are not. Limitations of the territory only.

Firstly, you cannot change the price of the same Application to another territory. Apple will not allow this. In fact, there is no such opportunity to set different prices for different territories.

So, for the second you mentioned , I say YES . For this you need to remember a few things.

  • Suppose you have created 2 different applications with the same features for 2 different countries with different prices.
  • Make sure that the version you downloaded for Country-A should only be displayed for Country-A . And the same for Country-B .
  • Save the description and keywords of a localized language.
  • Make sure that there is something different in both versions of the applications. Otherwise, the Apple team will feel their similar concept, and they may reject the application.
