ITerm2 closes braces not working

In recent weeks, I had a problem that in iTerm2, the closing curly brace no longer works. It works in all other applications (including Terminal), but iTerm2 does not show curly braces. The brace opens.

I have a German keyboard, so it should be ALT + 9

I removed the integration with the shell because I thought that this problem has occurred since the integration was installed, but so far it has failed.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

This just seemed like a problem in test releases. A stable release does not have this problem.

I have this problem and have been experiencing the same thing since I started using iterm / zsh in October 2016. This happens both on my work laptop and on my personal laptop (I have almost the same setup for both). This is only a problem in iterm - a regular Mac OS terminal works just fine.

I am currently using iterm build 3.1.5. and also have a layout in German.

This is annoying, but I recently found out that CTRL + ALT + 9 does the job.

I would be interested to know about the correct fix.

there is this problem with actual stable 3.0.15, and also works for 2.1.4, but not for any 3.xx
