Zero numpy installation - `GFORTRAN_1.4 'error not found

Question

Until two days ago, everything was fine with my machine, then I had to manually build ffmpeg and install my dependencies too manually. Now in virtual boot with zero boot, there is an error with this error:

ImportError: /home/koustuv/miniconda/lib/libgfortran.so.3: version `GFORTRAN_1.4' not found (required by /usr/lib/liblapack.so.3)

I tried conda without virtualenv in my normal installation and it works fine, but within the new virtualenv (even when setting the python location on Ubuntu, except miniconda), numpy cannot import this strange error. I tried to install gfortan, but its already in the latest package. Please help! all appointments are stuck: (

The workaround that worked for me is:

 conda remove libgfortran conda install libgcc --force
