Create regular backups from OS X to the cloud

I am developing a Django project on my MacBook Pro. It is constantly paranoid that if my house burns down, someone will steal my MB, hard drive failure, or other things that are unlikely but catastrophic if this happens.

How can I create or get an automatic backup every 1 hour from my OS X directory, where the Django project is for a service like Dropbox or any cloud hosting company that might be the solution.

Is there a Python script that does this? I cannot be the only one who thought about this before.
