Android app update - how to do it?

What is the best way to let my users update the application?

Is there a way to force a reboot after updating? I ask about this because my application logs some loading behavior.

Please note that the application will not be published on the market.

Update:

My application will be pre-installed on a set of 100 phones. Should I periodically call a web service that will inform the device about the update, and then redirect to the .apk file as a web kit?

Just as expected, the application received the application on its device. If they receive the application through firmware, they receive application updates through firmware updates. If they download your application through your website, they receive application updates through your website.

No thank god.

You can report that your package has been updated, although now I have no equipment. Just run your built-in logic for the first round, then subsequent reboots (if any) will be processed by the loaded logic itself.
