How to display the current IdeaVIM mode?

I would like to see what Vim mode I am currently using when using IdeaVIM in PyCharm or any other JetBrains environment.

It happens that I select one character with the mouse (for example, accidentally double-clicking on one letter), and the cursor then does not distinguish properly between normal mode and visual mode, which leads to uncomfortable situations after hitting several keys.

Is there a way to constantly display the current mode in the status bar or in another place that I missed?

Put set showmode in your ~ / .ideavimrc or vote for https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/VIM-943 .
