Suddenly unable to start Android emulator anymore

No matter what I do, I have this conclusion, and the emulator does not start, nor a new one. I'm on Windows:

Setting ANDROID_SDK_HOME to the newly created empty directory and then creating a new AVD device helped.

in the projectstructure sdklocation file

check if sdk and jdk locations indicate existing sdk and jdk locations
