Spring, MySQL and Hibernate: a database error if the system is not used for 8 hours

I am working on a Spring, MySQL and Hibernate project, and if the project is not used for 8 hours, I get the following error. Can someone please tell me why. It seems that if I reboot the server, everything will work fine until nighttime or if no one will use the system in the middle of the day for several hours. can someone please help me, I just found this problem in several of my projects, so I have to make the same mistake in a number of projects .. please help

Use c3p0 for the pool, it is ready to use

This is because mysql disconnects after 8 hours. One way to fix this is to use c3p0 as indicated in other posts. Another way is to use the mysql autoReconnect=true property in the jdbc url. This property will try to reconnect when the next request is sent over the connection.

Note that autoReconnect will only handle part of the connection. It will not re-execute the request automatically. You will have to deal with this by catching a SQLException and retry the request in code. I recently ran into this and it worked for me.

It happens that your application tries to use a closed connection. This is because Mysql automatically closes the connection, but your application does not know this. The main problem is that you are closing the connections you are using correctly. In Hibernate terms, this means you are not closing the session. Check your code to make sure you close every connection after using it. If you use Spring -Hibernate integration, check out Spring integration documentation.
