Is Bluemix HIPAA compliant?

Is IBM Bluemix compatible with the HIPAA platform?

If so, please provide me with a link to official documents that state that.

If not, when is it expected?

Update 01

From IBM Bluemix Security dated December / 2/2016 :

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), passed by the US Congress in 1996, protects employee health insurance after losing a job. HIPAA is regulated and provided by the Civil Rights Office and the United States Department of Health and Human Services. HIPAA covers the provisions adopted in 1996, as well as the confidentiality requirements of Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) of 2009. Bluemix meets all HIPAA requirements at a data center or service provider side.

So, Bluemix seems to be compatible with HIPPA.

From IBM DW Answers on January / 23/2016:

Bluemix is โ€‹โ€‹currently not compatible with HIPAA. Bluemix is โ€‹โ€‹currently conducting exercises to document and evaluate a full range of regulatory requirements and an order based on market priority.

It does not look like there is still a slow date for this.

Check out the Bluemix Compliance Pages , as well as the Softlayer Compliance Page .

I have reviewed the Bluemix compliance site and do not claim to support HIPAA. Thus, they do not currently support HIPAA.
