Update the app on the App Store

Here is my scenario:

My application has version X in the application store, then I want to download version X + 1 in the store.

There was a significant change between version X and version X + 1. Both applications used backgroundFetch to do some work.

It was assumed that version X was open and version X + 1 never opened after loading, will I receive backgroundFetch events?

From Apple:

In most cases, the system does not restart applications after a forced termination by the user. One of the exceptions is location apps, which in iOS 8 and later will restart after the user forcibly terminates. In other cases, however, the user must explicitly launch the application or reboot the device before the application can automatically start in the background by the system.

This means that the need application receives backgroundFetch events for X+1 .
