Chrome interrupts randomly without breakpoints when opening inspector

Question

When I have an inspector open in chrome, it will “crash” throughout javascript, even if there are no breakpoints. On sites where I need a debugger to debug javascript, this makes chrome pretty unusable.

I am on a mac and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome. Anyone have any suggestions?

You may have enabled the Pause on all exceptions "button (it would have been blue if it had been enabled).

In the end, I decided to remove the chrome by deleting this directory: ~ / Library / Application \ Support / Google / Chrome / (I am on a Mac) and reinstalled. Not sure if chromium removal is really required.
