Suppose a customer bought my paid app from the Mac App Store, then asked Apple and received a refund. Is Apple somehow canceling a receipt to make the application impossible to use? And if so, is there any flag on the receipt that shows that it was returned, what should I check during the validation check?
I found the cancellation_date field ( Apple Technical Note ), but this only looks like subscription or in-app purchases. How about reimbursing the entire paid application, can this be verified?
It seems that the answer was βno,β Apple does not cancel the returned receipts for the Mac application, and the user can continue to use the application, βand I would like to know if this has changed recently.
