Docker Work for docker.service failed because the control process exited with an error code

I spend more time finding out a lot of posts here and here, but I did not find a solution, so I came here to ask:

I want to run docker on a manjaro Linux server (e.g. archlinux)

after installing docker, I want to start it:

 sudo systemctl start docker Failed to start docker.service: Unit docker.socket failed to load: No such file or directory.

so I have this problem, so I did:

and i did:

ok, so the seemms installation is fine, so the error message says that I have to do this:

So it was a user / group management issue,

I tried using sudo to pull ubuntu from dockers:

 sudo docker pull ubuntu Using default tag: latest latest: Pulling from library/ubuntu fcee8bcfe180: Pull complete 4cdc0cbc1936: Pull complete d9e545b90db8: Pull complete c4bea91afef3: Pull complete Digest: sha256:b53bb7b0d18842214ac7472c2a8801e8682c247d30f1ba4bab0083a2e2e091ea Status: Downloaded newer image for ubuntu:latest

and here i try to run it and it works!

 sudo docker run -it --name ubuntu ubuntu pass [sudo] de boblinux : root@3a99cdd1c522 :/# ls bin dev home lib64 mnt proc run srv tmp var boot etc lib media opt root sbin sys usr root@3a99cdd1c522 :/# exit exit

I had the same problem, but the above solution did not help. I had to reinstall the docker to get it back. This problem, I suspect that I changed the size (memory increased) of the instance where the docker was installed.

The following solution worked for me

You need to remove the stripping of the old local repo. Using the following command.

rm -rf / var / lib / docker
