How to add a storyboard link to another storyboard

Question

I have 2 storyboards - mainStoryBoard1 and mainStoryBoard2 .

I need to execute a segue from ViewController of mainStoryBoard1 to ViewController of mainStoryBoard2.

Does anyone have an idea how to do this?

The Builder interface in Xcode 7 has a "Storyboard Reference" object in the "Object Library":

Just drag it onto your storyboard. You can then select this link for the storyboard and specify the storyboard to which it relates in the attribute inspector:

You can then add segue to this link, and you will be transferred from the scene in one storyboard to the scene in another storyboard.
