Recommended Tensorflow System Features?

I start by installing Tensorflow on my RHEL 6.5 field. But it turns out that Tensorflow requires glibc> = 2.17, and the default glibc on rhel 6.5 is 2.12.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with the minimum / recommended system specifications for tensor flow?

TensorFlow requirements are listed here , but they do not recommend a specific operating system or version of glibc.

The best supported operating systems are 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) and later. The current limiting factor is the set of supported operating systems for Bazel that we use to create binary packages. You can install Bazel from the source and then install TensorFlow from the source to get around these issues. Many users find it easier to install TensorFlow in a Docker container to avoid this problem.

Although your system is outdated and you cannot directly install fiforflow from pip, you can install it from the source. I have successfully installed the tensor stream from the source. My system is Redhat 6.0 enterprises, gcc version is 6.1.0, base version is 0.1.4. First you need to install the new version of gcc, then you need to compile bazel, which is a tool for compiling shadoworflow. DO NOT use the latest version of bazel !!!! 0.1.4 excellent. You can follow this page to find some information. https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow/issues/110
