How to disable git for a project in intellij?

I am new to fast intellij from eclipse. In eclipse there is only a disconnect button in the "popup" pop-up menu that can disconnect a project from version control system, such as git or svn, and can even delete version control information, such as files in the ".git" or "directory. svn "dir of the project. I can't find the opposite intellij button and don't know how to remove git info. I deleted the project ".git" directory, but opened intellij again, it still shows that the project is in git and cannot be transferred to the new git repository.

After that you delete VCS, you can delete the .git directory without any problems

Select a project and do VCS

Open the setting and click on "Version Control", then select the selected VCS project as "No".
