Create ipa without developer certificate for remote distribution

I have an iOS developer who is not registered with the Apple Development Program. I am registered in ADP. I need to get the ipa archive from it for installation on my iOS device. He cannot give me a project, so I can just create and run it. Is there a way to create a .ipa file so that I can run it?

I tried to follow this tutorial , but I don't have the Sign Signing Entitlements parameter in the Build settings. Thanks

Your developer can certainly create an ipa, even if you do not give him access to Apple credentials.

  • Generate a distribution certificate from your Mac and export it. ( Manual )
  • Create an Adhoc Provisioning Profile, such as this .
  • Send both of these items to your developer.
  • Ask your developer to follow these steps here after creating the archive to create the final ipa.

Hope this helps!

There are several small programs for signing IPA files that do not require knowledge of command-line tools or Xcode : iModSign , InstaSign , iResign and others.

You can always ask him for an ipa, and then cancel it using your developer certificate and profile using the Xcode code command-line tool.

Another solution not recommended, in my opinion, would be to export your account from Xcode and send it to him. Thus, he will be able to install the code and configure the project settings on your developerโ€™s certificate and profile and archive the application.
