See the full redirect path and HTTP status code in Chrome.

I am trying to find out of some shortened links and out.php linkscripts redirect using 301 redirects or not. I look at the resource tab in the Chrome developer tools, but it only displays the landing page headers, not the link scripts.

In addition, some of the sites I’m exploring do redirect several times, so it would be better if I could track the entire redirect path.

How can I find out how I was redirected, and if they use 301 or not?

Now in Chrome, something is much better. At the bottom of the Chrome inspector (on the network tab) is a button with a large circle. Hover over this button and the prompt says "Save log when navigating." Press the button and it will turn red. Now it doesn’t matter how the page moves, the inspector will save the entire history of the journal, including the redirect response.

EDIT:

one more change. Chrome now has a flag that says "save log."

In the Chrome Developer Tools - select "Resources" - then in the "Documents" or "Other" section you will have to find the initial request - look at the "Headers" to see the status code 301. There is a wonderful article there - http: //www.html5rocks .com / tutorials / developertools / part1 / # toc-resources

I had the same problem and found a solution a little different from previous answers.

I had to select "Other" for the type of document in the filter panel, and also save a mark in the log and write a record to the network.
