Why my ASP MVC Views won't create a second time

I have included MvcBuildView in my project.

It works great when I create.

Then, if I create / change something again and try to build again, it fails when it starts compiling the views with an error:

CS0103 The name 'model' does not exist in the current context It points to the first cshtml file in obj\Release\AspnetCompileMerge\Source\bin\Views\Shared\EditorTemplates\DateRange.cshtml

Here is this file, not that it helps:

I absolutely do not understand why this is happening. The only way to get this working is to delete my obj folder and rebuild.

I want him to be smart and know what he is doing and does not need to be restored (since it takes a lot of time).

So, the ACTUAL problem was in my project file, I had this:

 <Target Name="MvcBuildViews" AfterTargets="AfterBuild" Condition="'$(MvcBuildViews)'=='true'"> <AspNetCompiler VirtualPath="temp" PhysicalPath="$(WebProjectOutputDir)" /> </Target>

Deleted it and I could not recompile the problem.

Have you tried moving the external obj folder from your solution? Perhaps this helps.

Unload the asp.net mvc project in the solution explorer and edit the project file.

Find the BaseIntermediateOutputPath and IntermediateOutputPath entries in the csproj files and change them:

 <BaseIntermediateOutputPath>D:\Temp\VS\Your project name\obj\</BaseIntermediateOutputPath> <IntermediateOutputPath>$(BaseIntermediateOutputPath)$(Configuration)\</IntermediateOutputPath>
