OrientDB: how nodes and edges are stored inside

A quick question, but one that Google did not give any results.

When comparing different graphical databases, I found this useful slide on the internal elements of Neo4j. I found slides 3-12 to be especially interesting, as they explained how the graph (nodes / edges / properties) is represented / serialized on disk.

Now I am carefully looking at OrientDB as my likely DB. Can anyone who knows the OrientDB architecture describe the internal representation that they use to store the graph data in the same way as on the slides linked above? Thank you very much.
