Google app invites you to not send

As of 11/11/2015, Google App Invites is no longer sending emails. SMS is still working. Has anyone else experienced this? My application code hasn't changed in the last few weeks, so maybe it could be related to Play Services 8.3 - but that doesn't seem to be the reason.

I checked:

  • No special characters in the message
  • Updated to latest Play Services 8.3
  • Enabled classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:1.5.0-beta2'

InvitiationIds are created and no errors occur.

Any suggestions on what else could cause this?

Starting from 2015-11-12, emails started working again. In my application, the code was not changed, and emails started to work.

However, Invites posted yesterday are still lost.

I can only put it on a problem with the Google service.

I guess Google App Invites is still in beta.

I mark this answer as β€œaccepted” after a few hours ... just in case, when someone from Google reads and wants to comment and confirm what the problem is.

An update has appeared, as described here :

App Invites is a technology that allows your users to share their application with people they know. If you are creating the App Invites app, Google Play 8.3 has an update that will make coding much easier. Now you can use the AppInvite.AppInviteApi.getInvitation () method. This will create a ResultCallback, which you can use to run your deep link activity, greatly simplifying your code.
