Visual Studio 2015 navigation bar disappears

I had a problem in Visual Studio 2015 (VB.Net) where the navigation bar does not appear.

I set the options in Tools> Options> Text Editor> All Languages and checked the Navigation Bar.

The bar will appear for a second and then disappear.

I tried it in safe mode and still the same.

I tried editing the settings of CurrentSettings.vs and it shows when you load, but again it disappears.

Any thoughts?

Try the following: uncheck the box using the \ options \ text editor \ all languages \ general \ navigation bar tools and click OK. This is unintuitive, but then - go back to the same box that should now be unchecked, check it and click "OK." It worked for me. Why the navigation bar disappears randomly is a mystery.

Try clicking Build Menu> Clear Solution then click Build Menu> Restore Solution

for me, this problem occurs if the navigation bar disappeared in one file and it still exists in other files. my decision: 1) to find the project in which the missing file of the navigation bar is located; 2) unload the project (in the explorer-> solution, right-click the name-> project in the pop-up dialog box, select unload the project). Logically then the file will be closed, and the project will be gray; 3) load the project again (in the explorer-> solution, right-click the project name-> in the pop-up dialog box, select load the project). Then the navigation bar will reappear in this file. This solution also helps for Intelisense not working for some files.
