TFS integration integration or alternative

We are likely to use Team Foundation Server (TFS). However, I see that it misses Confluence’s flexibility for managing requirements documentation, and I don’t see that SharePoint is close.

My question is: is it possible to integrate TFS with Confluence, just as Confluence integrates with JIRA? Or is there some other viable alternative to managing requirements other than Confluence that will integrate with TFS? As far as I know, TFS workstations are actually not suitable for requirements documentation (except for short scenarios).

Thanks in advance.

Using TFS 2015, you can see Markdown files directly in the browser, which leads to the Wiki experience. You can explore this feature in Visual Studio Online and see if it suits your needs.
