Azure Mobile app not available among existing apps

Question

In March 2015, Microsoft announced that Azure Mobile Apps is replacing Azure Mobile Services. A few days ago, I spotted documentation explaining how to create an Azure Mobile App . I followed the doc and successfully got my TestDroid mobile app service working locally. However, I cannot publish the Azure app from Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition.

To publish my TestDroid app, I right-clicked on the project and selected publish.

This dialogue is already the "first sign of trouble." Technically, my Mobile App does not match any of the categories listed in the above dialog. However, since web applications and mobile services are combined into one, the best choice is Microsoft Azure Web Apps. So here is the choice I made ...

Unfortunately, Visual Studio 2015 CE does not show my already prepared TestDroid application as an option:

However, I know that it exists because I created it a day earlier in accordance with the instructions, and it appears in the resource group click on the Azure portal:

In addition, in Visual Studio "Server Explorer" I see the "TestDroid" service:

The entry "Explorer" for "Mobile Services" is empty, but in this case I expect it to be empty, because, as already mentioned, the creation of the "Mobile Service" is now considered the old way and the creation of the "Mobile Application" is a new way.

I assume this is just a glitch in the preview material, but I would like to know how to resolve this.

I got this job. In the end, I just visited the Azure blade app for my TestDroid mobile app and chose "get profile posting." I used the import option in the VS 2015 publication dialog box to import the publication profile.

The original MS instructions did not mention that this approach with a little rounding was necessary, so I did not intend to try it first.
