As Sasikanth says that in EGit there is no toolbar that shows the current branch.
Since your IDE usually has several repositories, a toolbar that displays the current branch of a single repository will likely often choose the wrong repository to display.
But if you have an idea of ββhow such a toolbar can work, you can open an extension request .
At the same time, you can either use the repository view to see the current branch of each repository, or look at Pakckage Explorer or Project Explorer. Projects are decorated with the repository to which they belong, and the current branch that is issued.

Here the project belongs to the gitexample repository on the master branch.
