Android studio terminal truncates output

Question

As shown in the following screenshot taken from the window of the Android studio terminal, it cuts off the text outside the dot (white rectangle). This happens even when I print something. Text is present but not displayed. What to do to resolve this?

This fixes various oddities of Win10 / Android studio terminals:

In windows
RUN is the old DOS console, i.e. command line - cmd.exe
[eg. press win + r , then type cmd.exe ]
Right Click Logo (upper left corner)
Click Properties
Click "Options"
Mark Use Legacy Console

Click OK

In Android Studio
Closing and reopening a terminal session

If you still have problems, just use the Windows command line instead! OR
