Cordoba javascript error: doesn't have startWith Android method

Question

I have two devices with Lollipop and one with Kitekat ... one for which Lollipop does not report an error, but when I try to run my application, I get this error:

how can I search an array of strings that look for strings starting with some other string?

The easiest way to implement the startWith function is shown below, then you can use startWith in your code:
