What happened to CFFI-UNIX?

My ultimate goal is to compile the FLEXI-TRIVIAL-DIRED system ( http://common-lisp.net/project/ftd/ ) that I am having problems with because I can’t find one of the necessary packages CFFI-UNIX anywhere.

Does anyone know what happened to him, why he originally existed, if he was integrated into another project, why it was, etc.

The system used to "provide a portable interface for Unix functionality, with particular emphasis on network connectivity." Looking at the FTD source, you can see that it calls cffi-unix::getgrgid . This feature is now provided (replaced) by osicat .
