Java: Transferring an Eclipse project from one computer to another?

I use eclipse to write Java code. I regularly switch from a home computer to a work computer. I wanted to be able to synchronize work done on one computer with another computer automatically - how can this be done?

In addition, I want to export all files from my work computer to my home computer, since I do not have eclipse settings on my home computer. I know that I can export files, but this will not export all the Java boxes that I imported into my project. Basically, I want to export everything, so as soon as I import it to my home computer, I can continue from where I left off at work.

thanks

It would be best to create a version control system, such as GIT (for example, using github), and then you would be able to easily synchronize the remote repository. As for the libraries used by your project, so that they are organized and automatically managed, you can look at the Maven build tool.

If you do not want to go with a version control system, although this will be the best option, you can try the FileSynch plugin and work through an FTP site or any other shared location ...

Unfortunately, there is no way to auto-sync projects in eclipse, since there is no system / cloud system for projects, so you have to do the work manually. But I can offer you an alternative, as long as all the computers at home (connected to the same router), there is a home group in the windows, it allows you to exchange documents and devices, such as printers, faxes, etc. create a home group and share the user's document folder and place the eclipse workspace there, then you can just use it whenever you want (your host computer should always be online, but you can just copy the folder to the computer and switch the workspace through project> switch workspace in eclipse), then this is closest to automatic synchronization. I don’t know about other OSs, but I think they should support some equivalent form of home group, hope this helps.

I have been doing this with dropbox for a while, install the Dropbox app on both computers, then enable sync :)
